1. The Listing

Find the business name and other information when it's available: address, phone number and map. If the "Map" link appears, you can select it to view a map of that business location.

2. Call or E-mail

You can contact the business immediately with the "Call" or "E-mail" links.

When you click "Call" a new window will appear.

  1. Enter your telephone number.
  2. Select a time to call. If you have a dial-up Internet connection, you may want to delay the call for a few minutes, so that you have time to get offline.
  3. Click the Call Now button.
  4. Your phone will ring and you will be connected!

This service is free for local and long distance landline calls. Mobile phone users incur normal airtime charges. No special hardware or software is required. When you click "E-mail" your e-mail software will launch automatically so that you can type in your e-mail message and send it.

3. More Info

When businesses provide more detailed information, you can find it in this line. Select any of these links to view

  2. Brands
  3. Payment Types Accepted
  4. In Business Since
  5. Affiliations & Certifications & Licenses
  6. Location

4. Rate It | Read Reviews

Click on "Rate It" to review the business or service. Click on "Read Reviews" to see what other users wrote about the business or service.

To write reviews, you will need to sign in to MY YellowPageMe.com. If you're not already registered, sign up now. It only takes a few moments.

5. More Options

Select any of the More Options links to see more and save more of the business listing.

  1. Send to Mobile: Send this business information to your mobile phone.
  2. Map It: Get a map of this business location.
  3. Get Directions: Get driving directions to or from this business location.
  4. Search Nearby: Search for other nearby businesses.
  5. Save This Listing: Save this business information to your MY YellowPageMe.com page.
  6. Save a Note: Choose this option to save this business information and whatever you want to write about it to your MY YellowPageMe.com page.

6. Coupon

Many busineses provide discounts and coupons you can use online or at the nearest business or store location. Click on "Coupon" and print out these special offers.

7. Web Site

This link takes you to the Web site of the business or service you are viewing.

8. Video Ad

Select the "Watch Video" link to see a video ad from this business or service. The business's More Info page will appear along with the video ad player, and the video will play automatically.

If you are already on the business's More Info page, the video ad player will appear, and a 10-second preview of the video will play automatically. To view the entire video, click "play."

How to use the video player controls.

There are three buttons at the bottom of the video player:
  1. Rewind
  2. Pause
  3. Fast-forward

To rewind the video, click the rewind button.
To pause the video, click the pause button.
To fast-forward, click the fast-forward button.

You must have Flash 8.0 enabled to see the video ad.
You might need to adjust your Web browser's settings to enable Flash.

9. Audio Ad

Select this link to hear an audio ad from this business or service. The business's More Info page will appear and the audio ad will start automatically. To pause or restart the message, click the appropriate buttons on the audio player.

You must have Java enabled to hear the audio ad. You might need to adjust your Web browser's settings to enable Java. Follow these steps:

For Internet Explorer users:
  1. Click "Tools"
  2. Click "Internet Options." A new window will open.
  3. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
  4. Scroll down to the "Java" checkbox and click box.
  5. Click on "OK."
For Firefox users:
  1. Click Tools.
  2. Click Content.
  3. Click box to "Enable Java."
  4. Click "OK."

1. Additional Searches

Every time you search for something on YellowPageMe.com, the system actually performs three searches:

  • A business name search,
  • A category search, and
  • A business information search.

You'll usually see information from these three searches in your search results page.

Example: Search for "Italian restaurants" in Houston, Texas. You'll see results from all three searches. Based on what you're searching for, the system figured that you're doing a category search and displays this message:

  • We found 198 businesses for "Italian Restaurants" in the Houston, TX area.
  • The site also displays links to results from the business name and business information search:
    • See 28 businesses with "italian restaurants" in their business name.
    • See 2 businesses with "italian restaurants" in their business information.
  • Find what you're looking for in the list on your initial search results page or select the additional search links for more results.

2. Map Local Results

Click this link to see your search results on a map. You can quickly see which business might be closest to your location.

3. Save This Search

By clicking this link, you can save this search and the search results to your My YellowPageMe.com page. You can return to this search at any time to browse though the listed businesses. To save a search, you must be signed in to My YellowPageMe.com. If you're not already registered on My YellowPageMe.com, it’s quick and easy. Register now.

4. Sort

The three "Sort By" options are located above the list of businesses you found. Select one to sort your search results by the standard order, by distance, or alphabetically.

5. Refine Your Search

To the left of the list of your search results, you'll see a selection of tools that help you revise your search. You can narrow down your search by city, neighborhood, ZIP code, state or business name.

6. Expand Your Search

To the left of the list of your search results, you'll see a selection of tools that help you expand your search. Click on the Expand icons to search broader geographic areas – state or nationwide.

7. Search Within These Results

You can get more precise results by searching within your search results. Enter a more exact category or keyword and click Find! The system will display businesses that contain that category or keyword in their name or information.
